The more I make the muffins, the more I appreciate it because it makes a wonderfully quick and healthy snack for the family. Try it and let me know how it turned out.
Servings: 15 muffins Preparation time: 10 minutes Bake time: 20 minutes
Comments: You may also want to add in some chopped nuts (raw or toasted), stirring it together with the chocolate chips for a nutty texture. Preheat oven to 400ºF/200ºC. 2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and mix. 3. In a separate bowl, combine bananas, eggs, butter, sour cream, milk, vanilla, and mix. 4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, be careful not to overmix. 5. Stir in chocolate chips. 6. Spoon batter into paper muffin cups about 2/3 cups full. 7. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until a wooden pick comes out with some melted chocolate but no crumbs. 8. Allow to cool before removing from muffin pan.
Reviews
I tried the sour cream banana muffin recipe. That was the best muffin I have ever had. My partner agreed. So thanks for the recipe. Although the ingredients said 1/2 cup of butter, of course I didn't melt it and I had a few very buttery muffins. Now I'll know for next time. Thanks - Blanche Rapmund, Australia
