Sweet and Savoury Easy Banana Pancakes for All Occasions

A Collection of Delicious Easy Banana Pancakes for the Family

Pancakes, flapjack, griddlecakes, flapjacks, wheat cakes, hot cakes, funnel cakes, or crepes, if you go by their French name, are among the easiest and most inexpensive treats to make. You need only the most basic of ingredients - eggs, flour, milk or water and oil or melted butter, to make sweet or savory pancakes.

Making great banana pancakes is easy. Here are some tips to making great pancakes everytime:

1. Use all-purpose flour in the batter. Pancakes made from bread flour tend be chewy and tough, whereas pancakes made from cake flour tend to turn soggy quickly when laced with syrup. However, these doesn't mean you are limited to certain flours only. You can experiment with flours that don't affect the structure of the pancakes, such as cornmeal or whole-wheat flour. Substitute half of the all-purpose flour for any one of these.

2. Do not whisk the batter until smooth. Leaving little lumps of unmoistened dry ingredients will result in fluffier and less tough pancakes.

3. Flip the pancakes just as the surface bubbles begin to burst. Flipping them after all the bubbles are gone produces a flatter pancake. Also, avoid pressing down on the pancakes while they're cooking.

Here's my collection of banana pancakes. You can serve the pancakes with almost anything from jams, spreads, sour cream, to Nutella or peanut butter.
