Rich in vitamins, minerals and low in fat, fruit salads make the perfect, healthy appetizer, dessert or side dish to any meal. A great alternate to sugary snacks for both kids and adult, they are extremely easy and inexpensive to prepare.
There are two easy ways to making fruity salad; one is to dress the fruits with juice, sugar or yogurt (so let your creative juices flow...), and two is to immerse the fruits in flavored gelatin (jello/jell-o/jelly to create gorgeous, colorful desserts.
To make a good, delicious salad, all it takes are some varied, nicely ripened fruits with different colors.
And if you have gelatin or jello (jelly), you can create some fancy jellied all-fruit salad - which are also a great way to prolong the life of the fruits.
